Michael Arthur Cleary "Mike"

Michael A Cleary, Sr., 77 of Pooler, GA passed away peacefully on April 30, 2024 at Memorial Hospital. Michael "Mike" was born on March 17, 1947 in Savannah, GA.  He and his wife, Cheryl, of 60 years had 4 children.

Mike retired from UPS after 32 years where he met lifelong friends.  With his job they moved 4 times and planted roots in Marietta, GA before moving back to the Savannah area.  Mike was a member of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church where he served as a greeter for 10 years.  He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren more than anything.  He enjoyed watching Georgia football and golf and spending time on the lake or at the beach with his family.

Mike is survived by his wife, Cheryl Vause Cleary, 2 children Karen Cleary Albanese (Scott Allen) and Michael A Cleary, Jr. (Brandy Cleary) and son-in-law Jay Loyd.  His grandchildren, Marisa Albanese, Ryan Loyd & Madison Loyd, Dylan Cleary, Zachary Cleary, and Noah Cleary.  His sister, Alice Ashman, sister-in-law LaWanda Creech (Tommy Creech) and brother-in-law Marion C. "Bubba" Vause, Jr. (Debbie Vause) and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his daughters Connie Cleary and Tonya Cleary Loyd and his parents Consie "Pee Wee" Cleary and Margaret Brown Cleary.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Michael's name to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
